STEVEN GERRARD

Publisher and Managing Director

Steven began his career as an economics editor at Macmillan in the days when editors still wrote letters and content meant being satisfied. He left Macmillan to join UCL Press, a unique publishing start-up that brought together City finance and one of the UK’s top universities, where he built a highly regarded history list. Having been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, he went on to found the philosophy publisher, Acumen, establishing it alongside the best in its field, and which sold to Taylor & Francis in 2014. Agenda is his newest venture.
